Overview of wheat germ
( 밀배아 )

To utilize the approximately 60,000 tons of domestic wheat germ waste and about 20 million tons globally, we are conducting continuous research and development. By utilizing wheat germ extracts with excellent antibacterial activity (licensed and jointly developed by Hannam University), we have developed antibacterial materials with multiple functions such as antibacterial, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory properties, and have developed basic cosmetics and health functional food ingredients and products based on wheat germ extracts.

Eugene Biotech aims to reconsider the true meaning of health and actively participate in improving environmental pollution issues. In order to utilize approximately 60,000 tons of domestic and global wheat germ waste annually, Eugene Biotech is conducting ongoing research and development.

Diverse business opportunities can be explored by utilizing the high functional components present in retail flour by-products such as wheat germ and bran.

- 1. Developed natural antibacterial materials using wheat germ extracts with excellent antibacterial activity.
- 2. Natural antibacterial materials exhibit excellent thermal stability and pH stability.
- 3. Natural antibacterial materials can be applied to various products such as food, feed, cosmetics, and wet wipes.
- 4. Confirmed anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects (can expand into multiple fields through further research and development in the future).
